British Education Index
Instant Access to
Trends in British Education Produced by The Brotherton Library at The University of Leeds, this CD-ROM isthe
database equivalent of the printed British Education Index (BEI) and the
microfiche British Education Theses Index (BETI). The database contains
subject descriptions of, and bibliographic references to, significant journal literature
relating to education and training, and to thesis literature. All aspects and fields of
education are covered, from preschool to adult and higher education, normally qualified by
age or educational levels.
BEI lists significant
articles of permanent educational interest in over 250 English-language periodicals
published in the British Isles and in certain internationally published periodicals. The
number of journals and the type of literature indexed are subject to constant evaluation
and expansion. BETI covers theses relevant to education accepted and deposited at
U.K. and Irish universities and polytechnics.
