Institutional Indicators on Diskette

Institutional Indicators on Diskette provide the most up-to-date measures of research performance based on ISI's unique and authoritative publication and citation statistics. Any group of custom-selected institutions may be included - pharmaceutical firms, medical schools, university departments, industry-specific corporations - in fact, any institution that has published articles indexed by ISI from 1981-1997.

The database contains the number of ISI-indexed papers from each institution and the number of times the papers were cited through 1997. Analyze the data for each year, for the entire period, the most recent five-year period, or in five-year moving windows of papers published and cited--for one or any group of institutions. Examine performance overall or in one or more of 105 subfields based on ISI's Current Contents categories.

Compare actual and relative performance using built-in baseline statistics. Review output, impact, citedness, and percent-share figures. Plot the data over time. Make tables, charts, and graphs with just a few key strokes.

Data includes:

  • Total number of papers
  • Total citations to papers
  • Citation impact statistics
  • World and institution baselines for publication, citation, and citation impact statistics

Format: The data are delivered on 3 1/2S diskettes with a custom, Windows-based interface.

Technical Specifications: PC running Windows 3.1. or higher and 4MB RAM; or PowerMac with SoftWindows installed.
