Discovery Agent is an innovative Web-based alerting service that delivers
customized information to individuals or throughout an entire organization. The only
alerting service of its kind, it uses a specially designed Web interface to enable
subscribers to create, manage, and edit their own personal profiles on an as-needed basis.
Unlike the other ISI Alerting Services, Discovery Agent allows the
user to test their profile results while they create, update, or refine it. Discovery
Agent filters its profiles against the ISI/Current Contents database. Alerts
are delivered weekly on the Web and also by e-mail if the user selects that option. Each
week, a user may access their own personal Web page to find the latest results for any
profile created.
Discovery Agent enables a user to have access to his/her own personal profiles
from anywhere in the world, at any time.
