This
training program, which was run
at the UAE University central library in Al Ain,
started on Dec 14th
and concluded on Dec 25th.
The first 5 days covered the basic course following
by a 3 days advanced course. Each training session was
composed of two parts: Theoretical part and workshop.
A general
overview of Digital Library and its various components and
services accompanied by a brief workshop for the Deans and
the Acquisition was held on Dec 24th and 25th.
Accordingly,
the UAE University is now in a position that it can start
its internal trainings to its faculties and students. This
has positioned the university as one of the most advanced
ones in terms of electronic journals usage in the Gulf
Region.
