physicians and other health care professionals. Founded by leading
medical publishers, MD Consult integrates peer-reviewed resources
from over 50 publishers, medical societies, and government
agencies
Core Collection
Its flagship offering, MD Consult Core Collection, was launched in
1997 and quickly earned acclaim for the site�s select content
offering and intelligent design. A favorite of primary care
physicians and specialists alike, MD Consult now serves nearly
250,000 users and is licensed by more than 1000 health systems and
hospitals, including over 90% of U.S. medical schools. Each month,
subscribers conduct more than 1.5 million information searches on
the service and view over 7 million pages of clinical content,
primarily during daytime practice hours.
Specialty Services
Four specialty-focused services now complement the Core
Collection, offering content and features designed to meet the
particular information needs of specialists in: Cardiology,
Infectious Disease Medicine, Respiratory and Critical Care
Medicine, and Pain Medicine. Each specialty service is overseen by
an editorial board of distinguished physicians who monitor current
developments and contribute original articles on an ongoing basis.
