IDL incorporates Federated Searching. This solution enables users to search across multiple resources with a single query, in any language, through one single interface. The interface accepts a query in plain language and executes the analysis
"on the fly". It then returns an abstract of each item retrieved, and clusters items retrieved into concepts.
In addition, it provides an analysis layer enabling several unique capabilities, including automatic categorization and clustering of search results, automatic abstracting and summarization as well as automatic key-wording and alerting systems. Users can quickly find the items of interest by clicking on citations clustered by topic.
